Overview

La visita al Volcán Malacara y Laguna Llancanelo es una combinación para pasar una hermosa y completa tarde en Malargüe. Para llevarlo a cabo, visitaremos en primer lugar el parque privado Erupción Malacara y luego la Laguna de Llancanelo.

En cuanto al volcán Malacara se encuentra a unos 43 Km. al sureste de la ciudad de Malargüe y tiene una altura de 1800 metros. Su nombre viene del parecido de sus manchas con la cara manchada de los caballos denominados “Malacara”. En cuanto a su erupción es del tipo hidromagmática, ésta se produce cuando la lava entra en contacto con agua y se caracteriza por ser muy violenta.

La erosión de las “tetras” (material volcánico depositado en finas láminas) y el desgaste que aportan el agua y el viento a través del tiempo, han dado origen a pasadizos, cárcavas y chimeneas. Éstas cuentan con casi 30 metros de altura. Su cráter tiene tonos amarillos y anaranjados debido al agua en su erupción, y forman un paisaje muy especial.

La laguna Llancanello significa “collar de perlas color verde azulada”. Se trata de un humedal donde podemos observar gran cantidad de aves (hay 155 especies censadas), muchas de ellas son aves migratorias. En cuanto a los flamencos eligen este ambiente para anidar. También podremos sacar muchas fotos, disfrutar de la belleza de la naturaleza, la tranquilidad del paisaje.

Cabe mencionar que debido a su importante valor ecológico es desde 1980 Reserva Provincial, y la comunidad ambientalista internacional además la ha declarado sitio RAMSAR. La mayoría de la vegetación en la cuenca de Llancanelo es xerófila o halófila.

Sin dudas el Volcán Malacara y la Laguna de Llancanelo conforman una experiencia completa e inolvidable.

Recomendaciones:

  • Llevar calzado adecuado para realizar las caminatas, y abrigo.
  • En verano es aconsejable llevar sombrero o gorro para sol, protector solar y agua.

Observaciones:

  • Menores: Hasta 8 años abonan tarifa de menor, si no ocupan asiento no abonan.
  • Debe formarse un grupo de 4 personas para que se realice la salida (Consultar cupos previamente)
