Overview

El Parque Provincial Moconá se encuentra en la región centro este de Misiones, a unos 337 kilómetros de Posadas, capital de la provincia, y a 320 kilómetros de la ciudad de Puerto Iguazú.
Su formación se debe de una falla geológica sobre el río Uruguay, entre las desembocaduras de los arroyos Pepirí Guazú y Yabotí (del lado argentino), y los ríos brasileños Serapiao y Calixto.
El Gran Salto del Moconá, es un cañón de 3 kilómetros de largo con caídas de agua paralelas a su cauce.
Los Saltos del Moconá, albergan especies vegetales y animales únicas, asociadas a las rocas, que se denominan Biosfera Yaboti.
El visitante comienza a disfrutar de la naturaleza desde que inicia el trayecto de ruta que une El Soberbio con el Parque Provincial Moconá, accediendo a miradores con espectaculares vistas, en particular el que se encuentra sobre el río Uruguay.
