Conoce Tafi del Valle y Ruinas de Quilmes

Tafi del Valle es una localidad de los Valle Calchaquíes, ubicada en la provincia de Tucumán. Se encuentra a 2000 metros sobre el nivel del mar y deleita a sus visitantes al llegar con su paisaje marrón y verde que contrasta con el azul del cielo. Tafi del Valle es dueña de un dique que refleja la luz del sol y de caminos testigos de cientos de historias.

Las Ruinas de Quilmes también están ubicadas en los Valle Calchaquíes. En la antigüedad, pertenecieron a un poblado llamado los Kilmes, quienes luego fueron desterrados. Hoy es un sitio arqueológico, lleno de historia y cultura, que se ha convertido en una parada obligatoria al visitar Tucumán.

Para conocer Tafi del Valle y Ruinas de Quilmes, atravesamos el interior cañero y productivo de Tucumán transitando la RN38 hacia el sur. Luego, la Ruta 307 marca el ascenso a los Valles. El camino se interna en la Quebrada del Río Los Sosa y allí nos detenemos para conocer el monumento “El Indio”. Más arriba, llegamos a El Mollar para visitar Los Menhires. Luego visitamos la pintoresca localidad de Tafí del Valle. La RP 307 asciende a los Valles Calchaquíes en pronunciado zigzag hasta el Abra del Infiernillo, a 3.042m. Amaicha del Valle: visitamos la plaza y sus alrededores. Aquí tendremos tiempo libre para visitar el Museo Pachamama.

Luego de empalmar con la RN 40, la Ciudad Sagrada de Quilmes irrumpe a la izquierda. En la falda del cerro se advierten las reconstrucciones de la zona defensiva, rematada por una fortaleza situada en la cima y dos fortines a ambos costados. A continuación, recorremos a pie, en las Ruinas de Quilmes, lo que fuera el último bastión de la resistencia aborigen ante el avance español.

Finalmente, emprendemos el viaje de regreso a Tucumán, terminando así nuestra visita a Tafi del Valle y Ruinas de Quilmes. Un día lleno de historia en el que habremos aprendido y disfrutado de la cultura local.

Nuestra primera parada será el monumento “El Indio”. Allí nos detendremos para conocerlo. Continuando el viaje, llegaremos a El Mollar para visitar Los Menhires. Luego visitaremos la pintoresca localidad de Tafí del Valle. La RP 307 asciende a los Valles Calchaquíes en pronunciado zigzag hasta el Abra del Infiernillo, a 3.042m.
