El Calafate es una ciudad cerca del borde del Campo de Hielo Patagónico Sur en la provincia argentina de Santa Cruz. En este viaje se realizará la imperdible excursión en la que se recorrerán 80 Km desde el Calafate hasta el área de pasarelas frente al Glaciar Perito Moreno para observar su magnitud e imponencia.
Al comienzo del recorrido se podrá apreciar el Lago Argentino además de su Bahía Redonda. En los primeros 50 km el paisaje lo domina la estepa patagónica y dentro del Parque Nacional predomina la vegetación arbórea. Las pasarelas tienen una extensión de 5 km y están constituidas por escalinatas que descienden hasta aproximarse a unos 300 metros del frente del glaciar. A 146 metros del acceso de las pasarelas se encuentra el Balcón Principal, desde donde se aprecia una impactante vista y se observan las paredes norte y sur, además de la zona de endicamiento del glaciar.
Desde cada uno de los balcones restantes distribuidos a lo largo de las escalinatas podrá apreciarse la majestuosidad de este gigante de hielo. El gradual rompimiento y posterior nivelación de las aguas, es un espectáculo conmovedor, único en el mundo, que se repite cada tres o cuatro años.

Una vez en El Chaltén, nos darán la bienvenida los guardaparques del Parque Nacional recordándonos sobre los cuidados que debemos tener y respetar en esta área natural protegida.
Recorriendo a pie (durante 1 hs) llegaremos al Mirador de Los Cóndores, con vista panorámica sobre el pueblo y el cerro Fitz Roy, sobrevolado por cóndores.
A la hora de comer, el servicio incluye: almuerzo en dos pasos en el reconocido Restaurante Rancho Grande de El Chaltén.
Por último, nuestra guía nos acompañará (en una caminata 30 min) hacia el Chorrillo del Salto, una cascada natural de 20 m de alto, recorriendo una zona de bosque nativo de ladera, que invita a hacer una pausa.
Alrededor de las 16:00 comenzamos el regreso a El Calafate arribando aproximadamente a las 19 hs.
