En el extremo sur de la Argentina, en la Isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego, se encuentra Ushuaia, la ciudad más austral del mundo. Capital de la provincia de Tierra del Fuego, Antártida e Islas del Atlántico Sur.
Fundada en 1884, se ubica en las costas del Canal Beagle y está rodeada por la cadena montañosa del Martial, en la bahía de Ushuaia. Su nombre significa “bahía que mira al poniente” en lengua nativa. Viaje a Ushuaia: la ciudad más austral del mundo, es una propuesta de 5 noches y 6 días para disfrutar, divertirse y relajarse en esta encantadora cuidad.

El Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego, con especies vegetales y animales autóctonos e importantes testimonios de los primeros habitantes de la región, protege los lagos Fagnano y Acigami, el Canal Beagle y los bosques subantárticos más australes. Además de contar con ríos, mares y Glaciares donde se pueden desarrollar salidas alucinantes, cuenta con extensos bosques, senderos y acantilados para hacer expediciones ¡al fin del mundo!


Excursión Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego: UN PARAÍSO NATURAL. Montañas nevadas, turberas con misterioso brillo rojizo, valles de un verdor increíble con ríos caudalosos y lagos de original belleza.

Creado en el año 1960 para proteger la porción más austral de los bosques junto al Canal Beagle, el Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego tiene una superficie de casi 69.000 hectáreas. Tomamos la Ruta Nacional 3 desde Ushuaia y paramos en un punto panorámico del Canal Beagle. Luego llegamos al Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego y comenzamos nuestro trekking hacia el Mirador Lapataia. Recorremos algunos senderos de este bosque excepcional.

Luego de este medio día de trekking, tendrán una idea más que completa de las particularidades de este ecosistema. El parque está surcado por cordones montañosos que lo dividen en valles de muy difícil acceso. A diferencia de otros parques andino patagónicos, presenta bosques cercanos a la costa marítima, de seis kilómetros de longitud sobre el Canal Beagle. Ésta conforma la bahía Lapataia, que en lengua yámana significa “bahía boscosa” o “bahía de la buena madera”.

También será parte de Viaje a Ushuaia: la ciudad más austral del mundo,  la excursión Experiencia Centolla! Un día en una aldea pesquera, dirigiéndonos a la Ruta Nacional 3 de Ushuaia, tomando un camino de ripio por un denso bosque nativo. Cuando llegamos a la costa, comenzamos a caminar por el bosque hasta una agitada y copiosa cascada. De vuelta en el vehículo, te llevamos a Puerto Almanza, el puerto pesquero más austral de la Argentina.

Desde allí, tomamos otro camino de ripio por unos 15km hasta llegar a una pequeña y adorable aldea pesquera donde nos recibe una familia local y nos invitan a subir a un bote, con el cual nos dirigimos hacia un lugar adecuado para comenzar la experiencia de captura de centolla. ¡Paramos, levantamos las trampas y esperamos hasta sacar grandes centollas! Al volver a la costa, los anfitriones nos preparan la centolla al estilo patagónico, cocida con agua de mar.

Para completar la propuesta, realizaremos una navegación por el místico Canal de Beagle!. Salimos del puerto local con un grupo reducido de pasajeros, recorriendo la bahía de Ushuaia y disfrutando del entorno montañoso. Nos acercamos al faro Les Eclaireurs, icono de nuestra ciudad. Nos maravillamos al ver los cormoranes roqueros sobre los acantilados de las rocas. En otras de las islas encontramos lobos marinos de un pelo y de dos pelos. Ponemos proa hacia la Isla de los Pájaros donde habitan los cormoranes reales e imperiales. Continuamos hacia la Isla Bridges, famosa por sus concheros yámanas y su espléndida vista de las costas chilenas y argentinas. Desembarcamos y caminamos por un sendero de interpretación de flora, avifauna y restos arqueológicos. Durante la travesía compartimos té, chocolate, café con licor, galletitas y por supuesto, el típico mate argentino.
