Para visitar las Minas de Wanda haremos un recorrido de 40 km. desde la ciudad de Puerto Iguazú hasta la Ciudad de Colonia Wanda, sobre la ruta Nacional Nº 12. El yacimiento de las minas de Piedras Preciosas resulta un atractivo singular, con la particularidad de encontrarse a cielo abierto sobre el caudaloso río Paraná, con muestras de ágatas, cuarzos, cristal de roca, amatista y topacio.

Encontraremos variedades de cuarzo halladas en estos yacimientos, principalmente ágata, amatista y jaspe que constituyen ejemplares de excepcional belleza. El recorrido por túneles y pequeñas galerías labradas en la roca volcánica permite, en algunos establecimientos, apreciar la yacencia original de estos valorados minerales e interpretar los procesos que les dieron origen.

Al final del recorrido ingresan al salón de ventas y joyerías donde se apreciaran las geodas extraídas y los minerales trabajados. Acompaña el paisaje, cubierto con extensas plantaciones de pinos, yerba mate y té, entre otros, pilares de la economía regional.

  • Llevar repelente de insectos, zapatillas y ropa cómoda.

  •  Menores: Hasta de 3 años no abona con 2 pagantes, sin derecho asiento.  A partir de 4 años cumplidos abonan tarifa “niños”. Consultar.
