Overview

During your vacation in the city of the end of the world you will visit two of the most visited places! It will be a traditional experience, but undoubtedly exceptional.

During the first day you will visit the Tierra del Fuego National Park. Created in 1960 to protect the southernmost portion of the forests along the Beagle Channel, it has an area of almost 69,000 hectares.

Even though it is one of the most popular tours, we offer a different experience: we accompany our guests in small groups through often unexplored trails, reaching hidden corners of the forest.

We take National Route 3 from Ushuaia and stop at a panoramic point of the Beagle Channel. Then we arrive at the Tierra del Fuego National Park and start our trekking to the Lapataia Viewpoint. In our tours we walk along some of the trails of this exceptional forest. You can choose between morning or afternoon departures (approximately 6 hours each). After half a day of trekking, we have a good idea of the particularities of this unique ecosystem.

The park is crossed by mountain ranges that divide it into valleys that are very difficult to access. Unlike other Andean-Patagonian parks, it has forests near the sea coast, six kilometers long on the Beagle Channel. It forms the Lapataia Bay, which in the Yámana language means "wooded bay" or "bay of good wood".

On your second day of vacation at the end of the world, we will make a 4-hour yacht navigation through the Beagle Channel. For this, we depart from the local port, with a small group of passengers, to Alicia Island, where we will observe a colony of sea lions of one hair. Then we set sail to Isla de los Pájaros, where the royal and imperial cormorant colonies live next to their nests, where we will be able to see their chicks from spring to autumn.

Again we head east to another small island where, depending on the time of year, there are two-haired sea lions. Very close by is the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse, a true symbol of the city of Ushuaia, built in 1919. From there we spotted the island of rock cormorants.

On the way back we disembark at Bridges Island to walk along an interpretation trail of flora and avifauna, telling the history of the aboriginal Yámanas. On this island are the largest anthropogenic Yámanas shells in the region.

During the crossing we shared tea, chocolate, coffee with liquor and cookies.
