7 days 6 nights
San Carlos de Bariloche is a city in the Patagonia region of Argentina. It borders Nahuel Huapi, a large glacial lake surrounded by the Andes Mountains. Bariloche is known for its Swiss alpine-style architecture and chocolate. It is also a popular base for hiking and skiing in the nearby mountains, and for exploring the surrounding Lake District. Travel to Bariloche: adventure and relaxation is a 6-night, 7-day proposal to relax and have fun hand in hand with nature.
We will start the first day of the excursion with Circuito Chico, one of the most traditional tours in Bariloche. It includes a tour that starts in the city of Bariloche and heads west of the city along Bustillo Avenue bordering the Nahuel Huapi Lake and at Km. 8 is Playa Bonita, from there you can see the Huemul Island.
At Km. 17 you arrive at the foot of Cerro Campanario, where there is an Aerosilla that takes people to the summit (1050m) from where you can appreciate one of the most beautiful views of the region. Following Bustillo Avenue passing the area of the San Pedro peninsula at Km. 25 you reach the area of Llao Llao. There is the San Eduardo Chapel, a regional architectural jewel, and on the Nahuel Huapi Lake, the Pañuelo port from where the excursions that sail the Nahuel Huapi Lake depart. Later we arrive at Panoramic Point from where you can see the privileged view of the Llao Llao peninsula, and the lakes that surround it.
Then you arrive at the bridge that crosses Lake Moreno in its narrowing and begins to skirt the Laguna El Trébol. Further on, 2 km away, you will find the junction with Bustillo Avenue, where you will return to the city, ending this excursion.
It will also be part of the Trip to Bariloche: adventure and rest, the excursion to Victoria Island and Myrtle Forest. It departs from Puerto Pañuelo. After a crossing of 11 km (approximately 30 minutes of navigation) you arrive at Puerto Anchorena on Victoria Island. It is possible to go on an excursion and walk around the island, visiting the former conifer nursery.
You can ascend by chairlift to the summit of Cerro Bella Vista at 900 meters above sea level through a narrow alley of centenary coihues and native cypresses, returning from the hill through the blue walks in a series of spectacular natural viewpoints. Then you will embark again to head to Puerto Quetrihue, on the peninsula of the same name, where you can visit the world famous Bosque de Arrayanes (Myrtle Forest). It is a unique tree formation in the world with centenary specimens. The bark of this tree is cold, entirely smooth and cinnamon-colored. It has white flowers, similar to orange blossom, and purplish fruits of pleasant flavor. The Arrayanes Forest has been declared an intangible area and natural monument.
The mountain bike excursion is a tour with constant ascents and descents, on a paved road. We will pass by different viewpoints, bridges, and we will be able to see beautiful forests, rivers and lakes. An ideal ride for those who are new to mountain biking. From Lake Gutierrez we will ride on trails and roads with little or no traffic. We will visit the Casa de Piedra stream to finish in an old town, Colonia Suiza.
