Puerto Madryn is the ideal place to rest, get to know and enjoy the nobility of nature. In this getaway to Puerto Madryn of 3 nights and 4 days you will be able to visit the highlights of this wonderful city.
One of the many beautiful places not to be missed is Península Valdés: a Patagonian nature reserve, which UNESCO incorporated as a World Heritage Site in 1999. Here we can find marine animals that inhabit the sea and the surrounding beaches, among which elephant seals, whales and sea lions stand out.
Then, we will embark for the traditional regular whale watching or sea lions and cormorants.
We will visit the Punta Pirámides sea lion colony where we will be able to see the reproductive colony of sea lions along with the incredible panoramic views from the viewpoints of the place. Then we will depart to Punta Cantor where we will observe the outer coast of the peninsula, the incredible geographical feature that is Caleta Valdes.
From there we will walk along the different trails to observe the colony of elephant seals and interpret the geological formations of the coast. From there we start our return to the Carlos Ameghino Isthmus.
We visit the Interpretation Center, which will be the last stop on our tour of Península Valdés Sur. We will have a good chance to observe both aquatic and terrestrial wildlife. Among which we can mention guanacos, choiques, foxes and piches in their natural habitat..
And you will also be part of this getaway to Punta Tombo, a reserve that contains one of the most numerous continental breeding colonies of the Magellanic penguin. Imagine walking among more than half a million of them!
Our guide will accompany you during the walk where you will learn about the life of the penguins, discovering details at each stage of their stay in Patagonian lands. On the way back we will pass through the city of Trelew to visit the Egidio Feruglio Paleontological Museum, considered the most important in South America for its exhibition of Patagonian Paleontology.
