In the southernmost tip of Argentina, on the Isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego, is located UshuaiaThe southernmost city in the world. Capital of the province of Tierra del Fuego, Antarctica and South Atlantic Islands. Founded in 1884, it is located on the shores of the Beagle Channel and is surrounded by the Martial mountain range, in Ushuaia Bay. Its name means "bay facing west" in the native language.
In this adventure of 2 nights and 3 days, we take you to know the Tierra del Fuego National Park. A natural scenery with plant and animal species. Besides having rivers, seas and glaciers where you can develop amazing outings, it has extensive forests, trails and cliffs for expeditions to the end of the world! Tierra del Fuego National Park Excursion: A NATURAL PARADISE. Snow-capped mountains, peat bogs with a mysterious reddish glow, valleys of incredible greenery with rushing rivers and lakes of original beauty. Created in 1960 to protect the southernmost portion of the forests along the Beagle Channel, the Tierra del Fuego National Park has an area of almost 69,000 hectares.
To start the tour, we take National Route 3 from Ushuaia and stop at a panoramic point of the Beagle Channel. Then we arrive at the Tierra del Fuego National Park and start our trekking to the Lapataia Viewpoint. We walk along some trails of this exceptional forest. After this half day trekking, you will have a more than complete idea of the particularities of this ecosystem. The park is crossed by mountain ranges that divide it into valleys of very difficult access. Unlike other Andean-Patagonian parks, it has forests near the sea coast, six kilometers long on the Beagle Channel. It forms the Lapataia Bay, which in the Yámana language means "wooded bay" or "bay of good wood".
At the end of the adventure, we return to the hotel to rest.
