Temaikèn

Temaikèn is a biopark located in Escobar, in the province of Buenos Aires50 kilometers from the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.

Conceived as a park with wild animals, Temaikén is to be amazed. Get to know, enjoy and learn about our fauna, its natural habitat and history. And with it, learn to know better all the corners of our country.

Temaikèn is a place where we can get in touch with nature, meet countless species of animals and plants. You will also learn about their preservation and protection. With animals from all parts of Argentina: Patagonia, Litoral, North, from our rivers and seas.

This amazing biopark is divided into four large areas named: Africa, Asia, indigenous and aquarium.

In the area AfricaThe area is home to flamingos, meerkats, pelicans, colobus and antelopes. It has alternative habitats for summer and winter. And also three islands of zebras, lemurs, hippos and cheetahs.

At AsiaIn the area, there are tigers, bats and squirrels.

The area Nativeis composed of two zones. One of Mesopotamian fauna, which includes black caimans, capybaras, tapirs and lagoon turtles. The other is made up of Patagonian fauna. It recreates the environments from the Andes Mountains to the Atlantic coast. It does so through seven enclosures: Patagonian steppe, condorera, pumas, Patagonian plains, Patagonian lagoon, pudúes and Patagonia Subterránea, with all the avian fauna.

Aquatic Exploration Center, where we can play and learn to take care of the water and the species that inhabit it. There is also a aquarium which recreates three environments in Argentina associated with water and their characteristic species. These are: The Tide Pool, the Freshwater Sector and the Ocean.

In addition to these four large areas, Temaikèn has a wide variety of attractions. Among them, we can mention different interactive centers.

Another of the main attractions is the place of the birds. It has 2500 species from all continents.
