Valdes Peninsula is a natural reserve of Patagonia and is located in the province of Chubut. It was incorporated by Unesco as a World Heritage Site in 1999. In it we can find marine animals that inhabit the sea and the surrounding beaches. Among them are elephant seals, whales and sea lions. To start this excursion to Península Valdés Sur, we leave early in the morning to Península Valdés.
Among the most outstanding tourist attractions are: the Istmo Ameghino Interpretation Center. This place will serve as a preparation point to understand the characteristics of the biodiversity of the area and the interrelationship that exists between animal species, geography and man.
Then we will visit Puerto Piramides, from where the whale-watching trips take place. Then you can see from the road the Salinas Chica and Grande or El Gran Salitral, which are among the largest depressions in America; the coastal elephant seal rookeries at Punta Delgada and Punta Cantor; and penguins in Caleta Valdes.
During the tour we will have the chance to see a lot of terrestrial fauna such as guanacos, maras, foxes, armadillos and choiques. During the whole day you will be advised by our guides, expert interpreters of the Patagonian nature.
At the end of the Península Valdés Sur excursion, we start our return trip to the city.
